I close my eyes and inhale the sweet fragrant blooms of marsh marigold, Japanese water iris, and water spider lilies growing along the edge. I Bend down, pick up a pebble and throw it into the pond. In impact a splash, and the resounding plunk, making glimmering ripples spreading over the water. Observing the ripples, wistful thinking about the past, memories of secrets, pain, betrayal, hope, and love that entered my heart.
