Enter Poem or Quote (Required)Required Sometimes I watch the TV, and wonder what I can do thousands of miles away, to console a child crying, as he holds tight to the arms of his dead mother in a war-torn country. The boy himself is in pain from the blasts that have wounded his arms, legs and head. You can imagine the agony tormenting his tender mind, as he watches other lifeless bodies all around him. A flood of tears well up in my soul, when I see emptiness deep in his eyes. There is nothing I can do or could do, that would comfort a child in the middle of chaos, in a land which has burnt shrines, schools and hospitals. A charity to raise funds for food, medical supplies, and shelter can do some justice to humanity, but a hug, a kind word, a touch, a smile..... can make a great difference. Crying for the child or other kids and people won't help; championing peace is the only way out I see, to avoid tears in my children's eyes, when they turn on their TVs in the future.....
