The Elixir of Life
I wish life would unveil its mysteries to me I wish then to be given the opportunity To be given wings So as to be able to fly across the globe To spread the very essence of what I saw! Pray, only then, would humans realize That the very basis of humanity Is to fall in love with life Life, of course, loaded with its share Of pleasures and miseries! Only then, would wars be something unknown The new generation arousing Would only thrive on love And suicides would sound so appalling That the very word of it would leave a blank! Why, I wish life would unveil itself to me So that I would know of my purpose And make the world know of theirs Hearts would feel lighter Egos would turn into humility Hatred would get melted into love Enemies would embrace each other Drugs and social ills would be seen as evil And Mother Earth herself would cry tears of joy At this uplift of attitude!
