Today it’s my daddy’s birthday Mummy and I we love to bake Outside it’s too wet for me to play So we will make daddy a big birthday cake We pop the sponge tins in the oven Mummy lets me lick the spoon The finished cake will feed a dozen Oh I hope the cake is ready soon! The rain is falling from the sky I know our garden needs a drink When the sun comes out the ground will dry I’m going to help mummy wash the dishes in the sink We cover the cake in icing; it looks so nice My teddy joins us at the table for tea I ask mummy if teddy can have a big slice - but it will really end up inside MY tummy!
