Dragon and Duck Dynamics
Dragon wanted a summer job so off to Dragon Air he did go. But his erratic flying audition brought him, only buckets of Whoa! They told him to come back later, whenever he learns to, better fly. Like in maybe a year or two, when he can better, take to the sky. Next he went to Goose Air, but they turned him away there, too. They sent him to Duck Dynamics, who offered to get him in the air. They said his problem wasn’t unknown, and usually fixable… You see! Stating there was always someone who needed help, to fly above the trees. Agreeing it would be easy to give him good help, with their modern ways. After all, they had made the first Rocket inertial guidance system, in it’s day. And there was the rumor of a farmer’s pig they had helped to fly, my friend. Did you know the Tail Wind term came from Duck Dynamics, first penned? They put Dragon in a wind tunnel, declaring him a flying brick, on their list. Well, worse than that, as lifting bodies go, more a space ship, needing assist. They decided, his biggest problem was little wings; he had more drag than lift. They tied to him a rocket, but he couldn’t work the small controls… as only if! Big fingers couldn’t work the controls, crashing, leaving a sore bum, as a gift. But little wings, were nothing new to space ships, as they agreed and sniffed! They had got rockets into space, and the Spruce Goose up, with enough lift. Him next! After all, how hard could it be to put a baby Dragon, on the list? Well, we’ll see! They took away a side of beef; he was gnawing on, to rend. Instead they fed him beans, lots of fart-toot-ious beans, they did recommend. But even self-made wind, wasn’t enough to get him, correctly up in the air! They made him 3D Wings for his humongous weight and little size, to wear. They made a feathered tail, fanning out, to grab a tail wind, for better tack. They would have now declared him almost perfect… if he could only quack! But all that weight: wore him out and brought him back down, with a smack. Next they tried a glider to help those widdle wings, achieve their enviable track. Unfortunately, his fire loved it way too much, as a dribble, quickly did it in. Then they tried a cloud of helium balloons, but they were way too slow, therein. His blue, bean, haze and fire eventually caught up to them. Giving a KaBoom! Beans will now be off his food list! The explosion was THAT BIG, it did loom! So we finally sent him to the Elf King, for a little magical lift. Finally a winner! Should have done that in the first place, as the blue haze, continued to simmer. Grandpa Troll said, it’d continue til summers end. Guess what THEN happened! Dragon took the summer off, so we secretly swapped his flight magic for anti-fart! … Yes… We were the winners!
