Is Bleaker Better
Clouds of despair engulf me in a thorny shroud As encircling flames flicker from their blackened edges Rising up against grand columns of pent up agression Their sharpened roots borne of my pores and soul. These forceful gales of torment that polarise my emotions I'm afflicted with Life, I yearn for a cure Hope flickered briefly, only the once, before it simpered away How can you ask for assistance when the whole world is dead? As previous mistakes hardly learned lessons Get disregarded for profits Who listens to the mongers of doom? What do you expect when we are products of environment? I was once a star! Shining with a supernoval confidence People marvelled as I held centre gaze That was a long time ago, for now, the crowds have evacuated And only thoughts of emptiness shatter the feeling of loneliness that's taken hold so deep within where even the darkness nor shadows dare dwell. In the corners I seep, whispering my poisoned words Congregating below the darkness And all that reside within it. Do suicides still face their balance of judgement? If so I'd like to say mine won't take long. But I have to much to declare
