Playing Our Part
Sometimes things go wrong, and that's how it's meant to happen But let's break it down and compare our actions It shouldn't be a competition of who broke whose heart Because we were both playing our part It started well, full of passion and lust A few dates here and there, neither of us asking for much I talked the talked, but I was backing it up I knew I liked you from our first time of having a hug Things developed quickly, and we grew closer When you needed to cry, I was your shoulder You were my crutch, when Depression pushed me to the ground You provided the safety boat so I wouldn't drown But you started wanting more and I was unable to give it I just said, you don't understand depression because you haven't had to live it I got defensive because I felt like you were attacking me I didn't have any answers for the questions you were asking me I began pushing you away when you wanted us to get even closer You know about my depression, Anxiety and Bipolar Bit you seem to think that it can be cured just like that It hurt to push you away, because I haven't been touched like that Every day it seemed you wanted to change me and compare us mentally We had a lot of sex, but I also had a fear of intimacy You said I don't give enough, I replied you expect too much So we end up getting stuck Our love died down, and you want to play a game of who killed it So I've took you through the murder scene Neither of us need to put our foot in the shoe to see if it fits Because this was neither a nightmare or a dream Sometimes things go wrong, and that's how it's meant to happen But let's break it down and compare our actions It shouldn't be a competition of who broke whose heart Because we were both playing our part
