The Tooth Fairy
The moon shone full and bright From its very lofty height On this special night, As the Tooth Fairy shook out her wings for flight The message came in loud and clear A child has lost a tooth that's pearly white. Nobody knows what this beautiful lady looks like. She drifts in to the light From the nightlight. Not a sound do you hear As over to the bed she draws near. She feels the envelope under the pillow with its Special freight. The Tooth Fairy takes the Tooth out of the envelope With care The child shows no sign of fright For the child has gone off to sleep with eyes shut Tight. Now in to the envelope goes the money for the Tooth that is pearly white. The trade has been made with out fear. Next morning at daylight A child picks up the envelope face full of delight Knowing the Tooth Fairy has taken the tooth Back to her place and that's alright.
