The Udders of Life
THE UDDERS OF LIFE by JOHN M. ARRIBAS I’ve been told by some that I need alter my attitude That I should mingle more and eschew my solitude So hard to do when I see constant acts of ingratitude Mayhem, deception, infidelity are a few that I include Violence, racism, hate, lead me to spasms of lassitude Infringements of rights grow disproportional in magnitude Simple words spoken now twisted and misconstrued Open opinions, squelched in fear of public seclude Contrarian positions demonized, forced to occlude Threats and intimidations causing a sense of ineptitude Discipline and respect are needed to restore rectitude To destroy notions of entitlements and servitude A nation can never reclaim the loss of pulchritude As long as it permits and harbors disquietude Elisium praeteritus
