Bring Me Back
BRING ME BACK Bring me back to Calvary Where life started, full and free. Bring me back to that red flood, The pure and precious Savior’s blood. Bring me back to those nail-pierced hands, Crucified by the crowd’s demands. Bring me back to the crown then worn Made from sharp and cruel thorns. Bring me back to His mangled face, His body bruised to such disgrace. Bring me back to that darkened day When God Himself had turned away. Bring me back to that victorious cry Spoken just before He died. Bring me back, and let me see Again the Savior there for me. Bring me back to the open door That says He is there now no more! Bring me back, and may I know I through His death to heaven can go. Bring me back, may I not tire, But always go from there inspired To sing, to write, to praise, to pray To Christ who took my sins away. And if I stumble or my faith lacks, Just take my hand and bring me back.
