My Sadness
My young life, so far, has been a garden ravaged, scarred and weather-stained with deep sorrow and sadness; I hang my head like a dying flower damaged, this rose, bitter sweet and driven to vast madness. Scarred and weather-stained with deep sorrow and sadness, wild, rain storms and great winds shake the sea of my sleep; this rose, bitter sweet and driven to vast madness, lost in this sea of the melancholy- I keep. Wild, rain storms and great winds shake the sea of my sleep, always, curtains stir on my misery and pain; lost in this sea of the melancholy- I keep, my heart is drowned in the depths of falling rain. Always, curtains stir on my misery and pain, and yet I drink from the deep blue cup of life; my heart is drowned in the depths of falling rain, hope is music to the soul- though pierced by life's knife. And yet, I drink from the deep blue cup of life, I hang my head life a dying flower damaged; hope is music to the soul- though pierced by life's knife, my young life, so far, has been a garden ravaged. _______________________ April 28, 2017 Pantoum/My Sadness Copyright Protected, ID 896193
