To Never Be Told
His life is hell It will never be well He has to hide His thoughts inside He can never be free or ever be me He is hated Always incapacitated There are only two that help him be who he is today And show him the way his life will never be the same They think it’s all a game able to be in control Living with a black soul He is always tested but never bested Test after test Never given a rest He is always told You’ll never die old You’ll just be nothing Never something Never rich, but never poor At peace, never more Battling untreated depression People wondering why he shows aggression Showing emotion Unabidding devotion Hiding the true thought Going through his day like a robot his life is a multi-layered lie Don’t know why he bothers to try No one wants me Was this my destiny?
