Waterfalls and Nightmares
"WATERFALLS AND NIGHTMARES" I was in bed naked when she walked in. she leaned in to fix the pillow behind my head. her breasts stared at me like owls of the night from an unintentional opening in her blouse. I grabbed both of them, she looked at me expressionless. back she went and dropped her jeans. she had no underwear. she threw a leg and placed herself just above my knee. she moved, making herself feel good. I could see just how fast it was all coming together and every thought she had ever had about me was about to be as real as the black heart of the man who destroyed her. "wait... we can't do this. we can't. you belong to her," she said. she pulled herself away, stared at me, lost in the war she was now in... then, she left. sometime that afternoon, I walked into my room and laid back on my bed. I felt something firm when I suddenly couldn't move my legs to the other side. I pulled the blanket back, there she was with a smile that the gods themselves would hang over their fireplace. she was wearing a sheer lingerie gown that was covered in lilac. the gods had given her to me but as quickly as they giveth they taketh away. I woke up, alone in bed, left with nothing but the world and it's disappointments. the gods at the bar got liquored up and laughed as I turned blue. love is a red lipstick kiss on a cocktail napkin. love is a phone number on a cocktail napkin. love... everything on a cocktail napkin smeared by the drops from your glass.
