Vines
Innocence, guarded by a soft veil I was for the crib and the child. Above everything in transparency, The physical might feel insensitivity. Passages, memorized and founded. Books on the shelf all read out loud, Pages torn, swept away by wind in the clouds. The time to learn wasn’t then, but now. Vines, climb them tall, To break away from it all. Just have to signal the haunted cause And teach my body how to once again crawl. Created to not feel a fall. Draw near to the sea, Hear the melody of me. Dazed upon sands of time, Cherish all my dreams. I was alleviated from the force of time. Essence, a word or bonding potential It was called, but not promised To love someone who made you feel essential. Open the windows, so the rain will let in, This is how we cry, because it once meant somethin.
