When He Met Her
When He met Her his life began, Before,he always felt less of a man, He had been around for a few years, But life always seemed to end in tears. She gave him the life that he longed for, She gave him love and much much more. He was at a very low ebb when they met, His life really was as tough as it can get. She gave him hope, where none existed, All that she gave him could not be listed. From the bottom of his pit of despair, She raised him up like walking on air. In troubled times she was at his side, When he lost the way, she was his guide. He was there for her when she fell ill, For to lose her was too bitter a pill. They both came through times of travail, Without the Lord it would truly fail. So they kneel together of one accord, To give thanks to their Gracious Lord. © Dave Timperley 22 March 2017
