Once More
I seek the reference of serenity, Few have known before, A peace so hard to find as of now, To love again once more. This hour a dreadful time to mention, Teary eyes brought ashore, Bound by the lust and sin, Kindred spirit in war. A soul too lost to gain, Life, a cost in key, Condemnment, the only way, Sacrifice, the way you think it should be. My life, a gift to be realized, Though anger left it's mark, Sadness, debris, a path yet followed, Broken pieces in the dark. The night sleeps as our eyes dim, Tears shed as hearts break, Love is still in view, How much more can I take. The chance so small in life it seems, Hope is not for true, Each morning, a new day comes, When I finally met you. The sun rises and sets around our hearts, As one we both shall grow, You'll never know my true feelings towards you, As they will never show. So once more I close my eyes tonight, If we shall never break this part, And think of what may come tomorrow, Once more I mend this broken heart.
