Spring Time
Somewhere after the snow but before the hot sun, came a fresh new season where a new day has begun- Delicate tulips starving for a slight sprinkle, a crimson rose bush is covered with a tiny dew twinkle. An amaryllis pretends she’s asleep for the night, while bleeding hearts peek through the dawns early light- Baby bunnies nesting in between needles of a pine, last year I found a white one, and had to make her mine. Chrysanthemums bloom in yellow, white and pink, sweet jasmines are feather light as their petals blink- Intertwined roots forming families of lilies budding, while the puddles bring my daughter’s feet thudding. Purple heathers are the favorite of my late aunt Flora, baby blue geraniums magnify my gardens sweet aura- A baby doe lingers in the glowing emerald terrain, as his mother searches for food in the warm Spring rain. I live in a wintry town and Spring is coming soon, my soul has been yearning and my heart’s over the moon- I’ll be basking in the beauty of Mother Nature’s adoration, and stay grateful for the elegance in God’s great creation.
