A Chosen Death
I am dead for the loving strangers, I am dead among the friendly crowd, I have no more lovers, no more haters, I am covered with an old abandoned shroud. I have died to save myself from those who care for me, I have died to abscond from the genuine praises showered on me, I have died to stop anyone to finally decode me, I have died to make others live without me. But now I have died, nobody cared for me anymore, Once an angel, now I am no more, Maybe my charm have died with me, nobody remembered me anymore, I am dead, for them, for myself, I am no more. It was a mistake, I chose the death, I always stayed in my coffin, not preferring to come out, Numerous hands lent out to me, to help me, to lead me, But adamant I was, as I always thought, Tragedy will always give me meaning, a life, But I am dead, completely lifeless, lying in my coffin, An invisible one…………… K.S.Lakshmi
