The Dividend Pond
[The Dividend Pond] You come to wonder, you come to offer And yet it all goes to waste When night has overdrawn sanity’s day It’s the place that leaves you restless Because your actions are soon to take over She hurt them dearly in effort to sustain vengeance The pond is where you go to bring back the balance All of the enemies disappear, never to harm again – Unable to withstand the nature of simple chemistry If she cannot breathe, she cannot speak- The hateful words her mother must have taught her. If she cannot breathe, her piercing stares can no longer bother If she cannot breathe, you no longer have to settle for any abuse Her memory is drowned by your pond And you can move on, leaving the demons behind She’s finally put to rest And it seems everyone is thankful not to miss her Haunting truth, carried by so much wrong The dividend pond is where she belongs.
