The Promise
As I slowly enter the room, I look around and I see her standing there surrounded by the soft glow of flickering candles and swaying gently to the soft piano music playing in the background She reaches up to move a lock of auburn colored hair from her beautiful face and our eyes lock all the way across the room. I begin moving through the others oblivious of all else... Except her Her eye's never leave mine as I take her drink, putting it aside and gently take her soft hand in mine Our hungry gaze says it all... Without a word I lead her to the dance floor where I reach up and let her hair down and run my fingers through the soft silky strands I put my arms around her waist drawing her close as we begin to dance both to the music and to the promise of things to come...
