What Is Happening To Our World
The kids and Mom are shopping at the mall. The kids tell Mom “Shut up!”—and Mama does! They say, “Buy that!” “Buy this!”—and Mama does. Do they respect her? No! They’ve not been taught Old friends who meet for lunch, preoccupied with Smart Phones, talk—but can’t resist a peek. They quickly leave just after that last bite. They must catch up on social media! . A twelve-year-old is driving Daddy home. Well, Dad can’t drive. He’s had too much to drink. Tonight, while Dad’s passed out and Mama’s gone to gamble, he’ll take care of little sis. A forty-year-old teacher lies in bed. Beside her is a student—age fourteen. Not only does she steal his innocence; she gets him hooked on drugs and alcohol. A toddler shoots a five-year-old because the gun was left in reach of little arms. Another home’s in flames. Kids left alone found matches—and the list goes on and on . . . . March 5, 2017
