Tainted Prayers
I have heard prayers of others that, not only could I not pray, but what I heard made me squirm. These are dear and good people, and I feel that their hearts are in the proper place with the Lord. Notwithstanding, when I hear such prayers, something arouses within that compels me to be more sensitive to God, and at the same time, forbids me to judge others. When I pray in public, I do not want 'my fixated thoughts', nor my 'opinionated ideas' to be heard by others. May such prayers fall as droplets of decay and never ascend to my Father's throne. May such TAINTED words of my prayer melt in the Holy Fires of the Most High. And may my prayers be subject to censorship, leaving intact only that which glorifies my Dear Father. The words and thoughts we speak and think are human and therefore, not without TAINTING. If we then turn our TAINTED words and thoughts into prayers, our prayers also become TAINTED. The way we think, feel, and speak? TAINTED; our emotions and opinions? TAINTED; our beliefs? TAINTED and Imperfect. Thanks to Adam and Eve, perfection is what we lack; thus, we humans have inherited a dilemma. This dilemma of imperfection forces me to be accusatory, and disallows me to take personal ownership. My wide-eyed dilemma paints the worse in others, but closes my eyes to my own TAINTING. I have therefore chosen to appeal to the UNTAINTING and Holy God who knows all people and things. Our Holy and Righteous God will not allow any part of us to escape His Purifying Process; and if we willfully insist on our selfish ways, we and our TAINTED and unprocessed prayers will be stopped cold at the Throne of Grace. When I pray, may any part of my prayers that may have been TAINTED enter His Filtering Plant. And may my prayers be processed and thoroughly cleansed from all fleshly and displeasing components. And when I conclude that I really do not know how to pray as I ought, may I learn to reach for My Helper, The Holy Spirit, who will gladly make intersessions on my behalf. 02282017PSCtest, 2nd contest entry 11621, "T" Contest New or Old, Constance La France; 6P.
