(:) (:) (: ) (:) Mommie, what did you think when I was born Thought you most stunning sight eyes could adore To think you were mine was beyond belief Knowing you were healthy was sweet relief (:) Mommie, what was I like when I was one Your beauty and laugh could light up the sun Your baby smells so rich and intoxicating Snuggled on my shoulder, I'm in Heaven your mere existence exhilarating (:) Mommie, could I talk very well when I was two You blew kisses and played peek a boo You chattered up a storm that is for sure And bounced and danced all over the floor (:) Mommie, did I play when I was three Hide and seek under bed or behind tree Swimsuit all summer playing in stones and dirt Us watching for dangers that could cause hurt (:) Mommie, what did I eat when I was four Tomato soup and toasted cheese galore Fish sticks and tater tots with ketchup All thought was pretty yummy match up (:) Mommie, did I have pets when I was five Two little gerbils somehow kept alive Several kitties with various names All treasured some with pictures in frames (:) Mommie, was I smart when I was six Coloring books and crayons in the mix Flash cards and wide spaced writing books Your brain gleaming in every nook (:) Mommie, did I have friends when I was seven Your sister your glorious gift from Heaven And many others from school and dance You gave everyone in life a chance (:) Mommie, was I creative when I was eight Lite Bright, yarn, beads and paper plates Etch A Sketch and Play Doh creations And yummy cookie cut out creations (:) Mommie, was I afraid when I was nine At bedtime you sometimes wailed and whined But Daddy would put all your fears to rest To this effectiveness I can attest (:) Mommie, did I show love when I was ten Hugs and kisses galore, just say when Sweet actions meant more than words Drawings of red hearts and yellow birds Wildflowers plucked from yards and fields Cinnamon toast and apple slices peeled (:) How did all these beloved years flash by As if in the wink or blink of an eye Those years pleasures and treasures we review because (:) (:) (:) LOVE LOVE LOVE YOU !!
