Some People Think
Some think they have a sense a humor Like a narcissist’s smile still waiting on the world But can be as easy as turning a frown Upside down by standing on your head Overcompensating consoling to be or not to be PC world is killing the comedy store Humor has a way of bringing people Together from ancient times A merry heart doeth good like a medicine When science finds some truth like magic spoof You think that’s not funny where is your proof The flitting dodo bird forgot to pack this In its evolutionary case Was I moving too fast, which came first the chicken Or the punchline moving at the same speed Only In different directions Until a tranquil equilibrium is reached Has reason gone mad keeping the whole thing From collapsing in on itself the universe But a black hole with a curlicue at the end Provoking hostility in those that do not have it With despair refusing to take itself seriously In jest I plunge my rubber sword into the heart of darknessWoe to the horse slow the wagon without springs It was never forbidden unless perchance you were asleepHumor is a funny thing Too-wit thoughts of humor
