So Near Yet So Far
As Autumn turns to winter, so do all the plants and trees strive to flower before the frost hits killing them dead. For those that survive a time of hibernation until Spring. Until then the land slumbers covered in coat of white. Long days drag by and still all is barren gripped by ice the ground frozen solid with permfrost and deep snow. A change in the breeze brings forth a promise yet unfilled now a slow, painfully slow warming of the earth as Winter reluctantly releases her frigid hold and bows farewell. Soon there are signs of life anew as shoots shyly appear and almost before you know it the fields and woods are ablaze with glorious colours coating all in rainbow hues. Soon hot days and scents of summer will flood our world. Once again all is well and thanks to nature abundance flows over the fields and orchards and come Autumn we reap the grains, vegetables and fruits already preparing for the coming long dark days of Winter.
