Ho Ho Ho Its Christmas
>Ho! Ho! Ho! It soon will be Christmas day. And I’ll be riding on my sleigh. I shall have Rudolph, oh yes I will. Just in case others are ill. Have you ever been ill on that day? With a cough or cold, I say. I hope you are well and ready, I pray. As I have been busy all night and day. When it’s night elsewhere it’s day. So we all work twenty-four hours that day. If it was not for mother Christmas I say. I would fall asleep in Rudolph’s hay. My elves will feed the other reindeers. As all do know their jobs, you hear. I mean, you all do as you are told! Well I hope you do, as that’s what I’ve been told! Of course, you will be fast asleep. I will know if you try to peep. So on that night close your eyes tight. And I can deliver your presents alright. Ho! Ho! Ho! That’s what I say. To my reindeers every day. I say to my elves, I do. If you were here, I’d say it to you. I hope you have been good this year! Tidy all your toys away each night. I hope on them, I don’t trip I say. But I can’t, if you tidy them away. Mince pies and a glass of milk, I’d like. And please, leave a carrot or slice of bread. These I save, then when back at Toyland with my sleigh. Feed them to the reindeers with their Hay. Ho! Ho! Ho! Signed The Christmas Fairy On behalf of Santa Claus. Countersigned by Father Christmas himself. Santa Claus Ho! Ho! Ho! This poem was found in a heap of papers about to be thrown away. At first I thought it was one of mine, how strange, it must have floated in the open window!!
