Heart On Hold
I ignore the fact that my heart is broken, That you could just forget all the love spoken, Meaningless promises, you fed me lies, How could you go on for such a long time, Investing so much, making me believe, That my heart belonged to you, and your heart belonged to me, Sometimes I think you lie to yourself, that our love still remains, But if you can just forget I'm here, than why should I still wait, Should I put my heart on hold for you, or accept that you don't care, You push me out, than pull me in, streching my heart to wear, I live with a constant reminder of a love I felt so deep, And the only way I know how to recover from the pain is in my prayers before I sleep, I smile and keep on living, yet my heart is dying inside, Asking God to give me strength to forget this love I hide, There are no words to describe it, the constant ache I feel, I believed you truly loved me, I believed our love was real.
