Faithful Calling
I miss you like I am the only ship on the ocean Meandering around, with land so far away. I know the skies are open to me with my ventures. I know there is every sunrise and sunset to capture. I know the white crest waters keep moving anyway. I must float with them willingly, for I cannot stay Lost in ocean space so vast, changing colors every day. It is almost as if I am searching for you, but you are not here. I must float with the tides of change, beneath me. While love greets my lonely heart, images of your face. I want to finish our faithful calling we started, before you passed. Accept it will not be done together, as we hoped it would. I can only let go of some things, so the anchor doesn’t hold me. The rest must live on in purpose, to keep me from sinking. Heidi Sands
