Segments
Right from the start, love meant pain and as she grew, it turned to shame. I cried for the infants corrupted youth. I cried for the mother not knowing the truth. She lived in the shadows made from her life full of darkness, fear, and strife. I cried for the toddlers innocence lost. I cried for the sitter and the pain he caused. She walked down a very lonely road and carried the hurt all alone. I cried for the girl confused and scared. I cried for the father not being there. Demons corrupted her; tore her apart. They haunt her memories and fill her heart. I cried for the teenager baring the load. I cried for the rapist she'll never let go. A life of secrets built these walls; tear-stained pillows; unanswered calls. I cried for the woman and her world of hurt I cried till my tears washed away all this dirt.
