Arrows of Ignorance
pantoum Why am I envious of the arrogant? No struggles have they and no needs. They see me as foolish and ignorant with a pure heart and "unselfish" deeds. No struggles have they and no needs They scoff at me and laugh with the wind. With a pure heart and "unselfish" deeds I am grieved when I understand their end. They scoff at me and laugh with the wind when I draw near to my sanctuary. I am grieved when I understand their end; God, they are but foul beasts before Thee. When I draw near to my sanctuary I confess You alone are worthy of praise. God, we are ALL but foul beasts before Thee forgive me, help me to affirm Your mighty ways I confess You alone are worthy of praise; they see me as foolish and ignorant - forgive me, help me to affirm Your mighty ways. Why am I envious of the arrogant? written October 8, 2016 inspired by Psalm 73, a psalm of Asaph.
