Insomnia (Angel of Sadness)
My nights have become disturbed I cannot sleep I seem to not even be able to Sum up my days in words I don’t know whether, I’m depressed High on life, or just eager to rest I do know that I cannot sleep My eyes twitch Sometimes they burn As if I dread the day The world must mourn Since I last rested my thoughts It’s been nearly nine days, nine nights As I fade I fight I do all the above, I just can’t sleep If I were to shoved from my feet Inevitably I’d have a comma to meet Like my most trouble times are on repeat I cannot sleep I do not feel tired At random moments, my eyes water Despite your rapture I seem to have become your mortar I once was told that just when you think you’re alive You’re so much closer to your end Than any miracle could survive I fear, this is the reason I cannot sleep
