Never Broken
Gears are whirring out of place, while wires lash and spark. Thick smoke conceals this old machine, that's dying in the dark. Too many tasks there are in store, though all demand its time. And as it tries in vain again, they all sneer at its crime. Such arrogance! Did it presume, it could handle what it said? Well, if it stays true to its word— soon it shall be dead! Write it off, its time has come, there's naught that we can give. If it hasn't yet already, it shall lose the will to live. But lo! In dust and ashes, in the shadow and the doubt, I see the metal turning, and in surprise I shout: "Not true! It is impossible— you can't adjust your fate!" But the machine ignores my outcry; so, is it not too late? All signs led to failure, there were questions all the way. Still, things have a way of doing, what was legend yesterday. So don't feel down in the darkest depths, when hell feels close to you. Take heart, and shoulder onward, and your dreams may yet come true!
