Broken- Fragments of Me
BROKEN-Fragments of me Fragments of me, were BROKEN off since the day I was born Burned in my memory each day my self worth was torn Fragments of me, fell off as all the little pieces they shattered Blasts of childhood destruction were never what really mattered Fragments of me, were bitten off by sarcastic words of derision Aggravated by my foolish heart and my own impetuous decisions Fragments of me, were blown off by jealousy and disdain I don't think my so-called friends noticed the missing pieces and my pain Then Miraculously I found you, better said you found me You saw me as I really was, and who I was meant to be You picked up all my fragments, with all my little pieces Your love, glued them back on me, even ironing out all my creases Now people see me not as broken, but as a person, whole Now, I thank God everyday, for bonding me, to the woman of my soul.
