Dreaming of change That ended in in chains But that is the way of the world For those who reach past breath held and sneak out with a pearl A dream of a chance That there is such a thing as love at first glance I loved so many and trusted them down to my last penny I thought loyalty still existed between brother and kinsman But that day is gone to the days of what isn't I never lied nor cheated when it came to a brother But gave them a home, food and even shared them my mother Still it wasn't enough to have a roof and have love Brothers in arms ha! that's long since a dream that is prayed to above But I leave this for them know they never did break me I'm stronger and wiser and no longer so easily shaken I look in there eyes but they look at the floor I guess pride and respect matters to me just a little more Know I forgave from the start I hoped we could share a dream but fell short by your simple remarks Know I still love you even forgive you so humble and when the ball drops and you finally stumble you still have a brother hand out to pull you back as they crumble
