Enter Poem or Quote (Required)Required When I sit down to write poetry, Or maybe a short story or two. The page is blank, what to write, At that moment I haven't a clue. I write a few lines delete the lot It all sounds contrite, I like it not So I start again with an empty page, Sometimes words just gush and flow, I can finish it in a few minutes or so. A poem about the events of the day, A bit like a diary in a rhyming way. My stories are oft in a quirky style, Some you frown at and others you smile. I write about life as I see its events, Some tales are great and others laments. As with my poems, they reflect how I feel, Life's sometimes like the hamsters wheel. It seems like I'm on the treadmill of life, Then I turn and espy my darling wife. Turning this house into our lovely home, About her I can always write a poem.
