Denouement
The Story of My Life- My life so far has been a series of chapters and books, from my birth to the final curtain- a play with intricacies; entwined with sorrow and darkness as each chapter weeps, and I the star actor, in this drama of life. I play my part in each chapter with a beginning- ending, and at times the outcome is doubtful and oh quite dramatic; the plot, the drama, and the story would make a very thick novel, and the very best; would be the last act. The grand end- finale, the scene a cemetery; there would be weeping, drifting in the drooping trees; of course, it must be raining too. And at last the culmination and conclusion of this life, my soul would sigh- my inner eyes would close at long last; and I would fold my hands in peace- the fight over in this ending act, finally denouement, and final resolution. Oh, bring me red roses and lay them on my grave, beloved, then close the book of my life and bid me farewell . . . the end. ____________________ August 13, 2016 Poetry/Verse/Decouement Copyright Protected, ID 16-818-261-0 All Rights Reserved.
