On Time But An Hour Late
I was on time but an hour late mountain time had forever changed my fate. Because of the hate between us they took our only son. I was only 19 still to young to grasp the gravity of the fight that had begun. I knew that we spring forward then later we fall back. I never really payed attention so I was tragically unaware that some places did not abide by that. Racing across the state line to reclaim my child the clock still saying that I had plenty of time. I pulled up to the court house, I parked my car, I then raced to the doors but I did not get far. Standing there with my son was the man who vowed to destroy me. I tired but I could not breath. I tried but I could not move. I tired but I did not understand. How can he be standing there holding his tiny hand? He walked over to me smiled and explained how he had won. He thanked me then walked away taking my son. I was on time but an hour late. Mountain time had forever changed my fate. Contest title- Something seemingly insignificant and unexpected that changed your life. 08/05/2016
