The Middle
Only once did my Dad forget to pick me up when young while I finished my job at the grocery store, and since I didn't have a phone walked the 10 miles in the heat with my thoughts all alone on the pavement till I reached my destination, then another time we were visiting some relatives in Ohio, and as I stood there in the street, my Dad all of a sudden pulled up and rolled down his car window, and said I'm sorry Cheryl but were driving into town and theres no room anywhere, so I said I understood, didn't want to be rude as he drove away with the rest of my cousins and my family, (do I hear violins in the background?) and while growing up at home with my rather large clan, had 4 other siblings that I had to share the bathroom with, it was kind of like an episode of knocking on the door and saying you had to go pee real bad, sometimes I admit with a bit of exaggeration, being in the middle didn't want to quibble, so kind of enjoyed being by myself at home so I could watch my show on t.v. and raid the fridge for a nibble, thats why when that did occur which was pretty rare felt sort of like Kevin in "Home Alone," I'd say we were a bit of like 2 sitcoms mixed up which were the Brady Bunch and All in the Family, with all of us scrambling around to see who would get to the bathroom first as soon as we woke up in the morning rush insanity.
