There's Power In the Name Nigga
You called me NIGGA To insult me, to bring me down To put me in a place mentally Where I'd feel terrible about Who I am You called me NIGGA Because that was your way Of saying I was worthless A common dog The lowest dirtiest thing Known to mankind Scum of the earth Never mind the fact That God made us the same From the same clay With 1 common plan To be his children No matter the color Of your skin Man or Woman However, I want to Thank you For giving me such a degrading label With the 5% of your twisted mind That you decided to use A label that was so carefully thought up to destroy my character See.. You had no idea of how strong I really am And how God loved me Even when you thought nobody did That goes to show what you think Of me don't even matter God is able to heal If you listen And he'll give you will But you have to be still and just listen After being call a NIGGA For so many years I've learned to accept it And now that I'm liberated in it You want to reject it I clearly understand That when you called me NIGGA You were calling me ignorant And I don't blame you Because it kind of make sense To me It means Never Ignorant and Getting Goals Accomplished Again I thank you For your honesty and all of the negative energy That you put into this word NIGGA Because unknowingly Over the years You've been empowering me Go figure!
