Little People
Little People With water can I hurried to my garden by the pond. Warm sunshine told me thirsty flowers sought my magic wand, to give them water which they crave to soon become refreshed... when then I saw an ant hill mound so thoroughly enmeshed. Like little people at a party, they all seemed to play as fairies, pixies, gnomes among the flowers on display. My mind envisioned them with fairy wings and ballet shoes, and gnomes with small green hats, in awe of their great flower views. Strange world for them with flower stems that look like lofty trees, to dance around these giant stalks neath petal canopies. And leaf umbrellas shadow them, create a perfect shade as in and out they march within a fairyland parade. The petals look so bright in varied hues of nature's glow perhaps this looks like Disney World to tiny eyes below. Much like our galaxies in space can dwarf our tiny world; to fairies, pixies, gnomes, my garden is a netherworld. Okay, back to my job to water flowers here today! From insect world to fairyland, enough of this I say! Sandra M. Haight ~NA~ Premiere Contest: Little People Sponsor: Shadow Hamilton Judged: 06/29/2016 Required words used: flowers, fairies, pixies, gnomes, party and sunshine.
