Letting Go
One time, I sat on a rock in a remote place; far away from civilization, to reflect on many things in my life. My girlfriend was about to leave overseas, to study architecture; my grandmother was about to sigh her last; I wasn't happy with my new home - people's houses seemed to be too apart to be called a community. I had to be closer to my new job, and farther away from narrow streets, traffic, noisy vendors..... A tree disrupted my laments, when I heard and saw birds returning to their nests. The tree, I thought, wasn't bothered whether the birds would return or not; build their nests on its branches or not. It was still and silent. I admired the tree; I decided not to worry about my girlfriend's path, for we truly loved each other; I decided to accept life and death was part of life; I resolved to adapt to my new home, life and state. I decided to let go. For Contest: Something Seemingly Insignificant and Unexpected Changed My Life Date of Entry: 6/18/2016
