The Morning Feeding
I open up the door To the early morning sky Out of no where all of you arrive Coming out of the wood works for all to see One hundred deer and yes some Bambi's Big bucks come running from all over the realms To my back door where I dwell With a bucket of wheat in my hands Dropping little piles of it on little tiny pads Of brick that make up my back porch where I occasionally sit While the rest of the deer start to forage I lower my bucket down almost to the ground Some many deer all around Two does come up and start eating the wheat Almost against my big feet I tilt the bucket a little more Their heads go in and keep bobbing for more I turn around and offer another And to other doe start fighting another So I decide to just pour it on the ground And watch them gather all around Twenty-Five bucks and at least one hundred does With seven Bambi's among their flow They eat all the wheat up then go Hopping back to the trees just a little ways below And they all bed down to await the next feast Right there again at my feet
