A Broken Stone
Pain fills my heart as I look back at the earth There's no way to describe how beautiful it is For mankind has stripped it's beauty from the dirt And all because they wanted more of this This dark yellow rock which I now hold Caused mankind to rid earth of it's life It caused their hearts to become cold And caused them to drive in the knife Looking at it, you can tell it's a dead planet But at one time it was filled with green plants Everyone of us took it's beauty for granted Which is why we all hope for another chance That blue sky we once saw on earth is gone I can no longer see that thin blue ribbon All I see are ruins upon a broken stone Where we are all told is forbidden If it had not been for us low and evil men Perhaps it wouldn't have died from our sin 5/11/2016
