What Do I Say - Even the Angels Weep
What Do I Say...Even The Angels Weep What do I say to her, my sweet daughter, married, mother of two; her life turned upside down in a nightmare of change, such sadness and unknowns. I don't know what to say... even the angels weep. What do I say to her and to our granddaughters, sixteen and twenty-one: there are things he cannot do; he is not the husband and father that you knew. There is no hope... even the angels weep. What do I say to them while my heart is breaking also for him, dear son-in-law, no longer able to work the wonderful job he had for the past twenty-six years... even the angels weep. What so I say to my daughter; early onset Parkinson's has taken over her love. Nothing is the same; she is losing him, mind and body; he is not the same... even the angels weep. What do I say to them, my dear granddaughters. Will he walk you down the isle when that time comes? Will he see his first grandchild? He just turned fifty. How many years before... even the angels weep. What do I say to them... I have no words for my daughter and her sweet girls. I have no words for myself. Life is a wheel of fortune... Some wins...some losses. There are no words... even the angels weep. Sandra M. Haight ~9th Place~ Contest: Best Sad Poem Ever II Sponsor: Laura Loo Judged: 09/12/2016
