Enter Poem or Quote (Required)Required I woke up that morning in the usual way, stretching and yawning, ready to start the day... but for some reason today feeling a sense of dread… Because I looked at the clock and saw it was late, got up quickly, and fell out of bed.. Showered and towel dried my hair, then realized I'd used conditioner instead of shampoo to wash my head... Let the dogs out to do their thing, stepping on one of their "land mines," I just stood there and cringed… Grabbed the garden hose, to rinse off my shoe, ended up getting another shower instead, Went inside and changed once more, when all of a sudden there was a knock at the door... opened it up and 3 Jehovah Witness's stood there, they started to talk and try to sell me their ideas, I just said "Gotta go, or I'll be looking for a new career!" Rushing past them I jumped in my car, heard a loud "POP" then thump, thump noise, pulled over to the side a little annoyed... A policeman pulled over to help me change my tire, also telling me he'd have to write me a ticket, because my tag had expired… Made it to work and clocked in late, explaining what happened to my boss, at any rate, all the while she just stood there and stewed, and for the rest of the day she wasn't in a very good mood… She just told me to get right to work, and not make any mistakes all the while I looked at the clock, couldn't wait for my lunch break… It finally came and I headed to the break room, having a hunch, yup, I did forget to bring my lunch... Quickly drove to the drive-thru at Taco Bell, ordered 2 tacos, ended up with a burrito instead... ate it and felt my stomach start to churn, feeling like I was starting to get a bad case of heartburn… On the drive back was trying to multi-task, while taking some heartburn meds, ended up spilling a soda all over my new pair of slacks… Got home that night and walked up the porch steps, when a hugh spider swung down on me giving me cardiac arrest… Once inside, decided on frying 2 eggs, which were always a treat… and put up my tired aching feet... when all of a sudden the smoke alarm went off, so I quickly got up and turned it off, coughing and wheezing from all the smoke… and looked at my eggs, which turned out to be all black around the edges... Finally relaxing I turned on the tube, and started watching the local news, when the power went out… leaving me sitting all alone in the dark, with my charred eggs turning cold on my lap… Wanting tomorrow to have a fresh start, I went out and bought me a new alarm clock!
