Goodbye
No one ever thought that going to the same place every week could make your life never the same It’s amazing how fast the year came and went in the blink of an eye I never thought this would all make me cry Leaving has become harder and harder to say goodbye I’ll miss the times we laughed instead of played Just sitting and talking about life would always make my day No matter what happened that day you always let me spill my guts I’m sure there were some points when you thought I was nuts Most people would let an injury get in their way But instead you made my 18th birthday one of the greatest days I loved going to your shows to see you play I can’t believe today is really the final day You were the first person to ever read my book And all the poems I wrote when I was feeling blue I know I rarely practiced and never seemed to care But I swear I really did I hope we still keep in touch Everything has meant so much I hate the fact that I’m leaving and we’ll be so far apart But you will forever be in my heart
