Sitting Here In My Darkness
Have you ever wondered what death felt like? The feel of the blade as it cuts through your skin Watching the blood flow free Would you be afraid? As you slowly slipped away Or would it be a feeling of calm? Like a heavy weight was finally lifted And you are finally free And the pain is finally gone But in your final breathes would you think of those you are leaving behind? The hurt and the pain you will cause them Would you cause them hurt and pain? Would you leave them with a life of empty sadness to face alone? What is more important? Ending your own pain and suffering Or protecting the innocence of those around you You see the sweet faces of love and childish innocence On the small lives you created And you know You have to keep suffering so that they won't have to You have to be strong so they don't have to But do you ever stop wondering What death would feel like
