Do You Ever Be Grateful
Image 1 Do you ever feel like life has been unfair to you Do you ever feel like you are going through a mood so blue Do you feel like this even if you are surrounded by all the comfort of the world Do you feel like this because maybe to your feelings love has been refused Or maybe because your peers do have more than you do own Or even because you are not as pretty as those for whom do you do fawn Pray, have you ever wondered about how lucky you are Indeed, life does be dual, but to you it has been fair You do have a family, you do own a home, you do have food to fill your stomach You do afford life's luxuries, you do get to buy that dress To watch that movie, to attend that show, to delve into the mystic Why, do you ever feel grateful that your being life does caress Do you ever wonder about those poor trodden unlucky souls Those that have never even seen house walls Those for whom every day repeats itself Those who do be engaged in fighting for the survival of the self I say not you should draw your strength from the poor But at least, you do be heartily grateful for what you have, and do help Help by saving trees, by not wasting food, by making good use of your money Help indeed, by donating, help by putting your hands into the service of humanity! 10 April 2016
