Four Seasons, One Life
Saw a tree with blooming hues of Iris on a merry day of spring. It felt like the youth of a fine, young lad; Who doesn't care what others think, just enjoys & has a fling. But one day, these would just be some memories which the tree had. Summer came with the rays from the ball of fire, The tree's trunk got thicker & it did gain some height. Squirrels resided while men took its shade as the temperatures went higher. And the green child of nature stood there for day & night. Then came the winds of change; it was the time of fall. The tree's once bright leaves faded like a mortal's grey hair. Around it were rustling leaves and its brothers, green & small. Though the tree rings increased, it still continued cleaning the air. Autumn gave way to winter when its branches were adorned with flakes, And a blanket of white covered all other trees around. The tree felt stillness as no hibernating creature was to wake, It had no leaves that would rustle; so it was just the chilly wind that made a sound. The cycle of seasons continued till a time came when the tree faded away, At least it had played its roles of this life & had a satisfied end. Even we arrive in this world like a tender sapling and then fade in a mysterious way, Because all these things are inevitable & so is life, my dearest friend. 4/7/16
