Broken Tune
Oh how fast your view may be Oh how long the dance seems I don't know anymore I don't understand At one time you held me close At one time I was yours Now I sit in darkened silence Now I utter not a word Wandering in the darkness Wondering where you are As you sit beside me As you gaze is far away My uttered words My silent, loud pleas Fall on deaf ears Fall on broken roads You don't hear the words I speak You don't know my broken heart Silently you're stuck where you are Silently my tears trail down Where are you in that world? Where does that world end? My heart beats to broken tunes My dreams all but shatter Is it more important then I? Is that world worth more? Don't you see? Don't you know? To dance this dance To fall down this hole Leads to broken homes Leads to broken souls. So many times so many days have come have gone Do you remember me? Do you know I am here? I want to tell you so much I want to tell you my joys, sorrows But a world unknown to me stole you away But the choices you have made Leave but a broken tune to be played.
